5th Cheadle Hulme Scout group are very lucky to have access to their very own Scout Hut. Nestled carefully at the bottom of Warwick Close directly alongside the Micker Brook, sits a small community building that services the Scouts, Girl Guides, First Steps Pre-School and more.
The Original Scout and Guide Hut was opened on 10th October 1967, after a fire the hut was rebuilt in 1990. The Hut has always been busy and has been the centre for a lot of happy memories in the community of Cheadle Hulme for a long time.
A secure, safe, child-friendly and accessible building surrounded by trees and beautiful green space. With a large main hall, functional kitchen and accessible bathrooms it is an ideal venue for events and activities, from birthday parties to regular club meetings.
In use during school term times by First Steps Pre-school, Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts, the hut is available to hire on most weekends and some weeknights. the hut is also available for hire outside of school terms.
School Term Timetable
- First Steps Pre-school: Monday – Friday @ 9am – 3:30pm
- Rainbows: Tuesday @ 5:30pm – 6:15pm
- Cubs: Tuesday @ 7pm – 8:30pm
- Brownies: Wednesday @ 6pm – 7:30pm
- Beavers: Thursday @ 6pm – 7:15pm
- Scouts: Thursday @ 7:30pm 9pm

The building is available for hire for children’s birthday parties, community events, and other wholesome activities.

Unfortunately, we have disabled our booking form as we no longer have a booking secretary to manage the hut diary and paperwork. If you would be interested in helping to get the hut open and available for bookings, please get in touch
Any confirmed bookings already in the diary will still take place as agreed.

Once your booking is acknowledged you will be required to complete one of our booking forms. An example of this can be downloaded from here.
The cost to hire the hut is £70 for the first three hours +£10 per hour thereafter. Payment will be required at the time of booking or 6 weeks in advance to secure the booking.
All bookings must be of a family-friendly nature. We do not permit the sale of alcohol or other restricted substances on the premises as part of an event.
